Random Stuff on Friday....

The other morning on my way to work, I ran into a bike cop trying to herd a cow that really got lost and ended up on a very busy road. It wasn't a normal sight. The cop was sweating a little barking into his shoulder radio thing. The cow. Just chilling, munching on the roadside grassy goodness.

************

I just dropped off the kid for a sleepover with her Nana & Papa.

I'm sitting here, in a quiet house.

I'm bored.

I miss her.

************

When doing some friendly disciplining with an employee the other day in a staff meeting his co-worker joked...."Dude, they (me, the manager) have to ask themselves one question....Is the juice (disciplined employee) worth the squeeze?"

************

Just had a conversation with my cousins wife...We might spend a day at Disneyland while on a trip in May. Cross fingers. Hoping to drive from San Fran with a bunch of kids, spend the day, spend the night, drive back home. Holy crap. I love Mickey.

************

I've almost finished visiting everyone that stopped by last week on my SITS day. Woo-hoo. And they said it couldn't be done! :) (I always love a challenge!)

************

I just watched Marley & Me. I bawled like the biggest crybaby and grabbed my poor dog and tried to make him sleep with me and the kid. He appreciated the love. For about 5 minutes.

************

Have a great weekend People of Blogland!

DUDE! I do that shit all the f'ing time! What's with us?! We finally break free from the spawns of satan and then we miss them?! Ugh. Life will never be the same. Want to know my remedy? Bailey's on the rocks. You'll thank me later. Just make sure you don't get knocked up like I tend to do whilst consuming it. LOL!

I'm curious.... When you say you 'I ran into a bike cop'... I'm guessing you mean passed by or came upon. Not actually took the car and plowed over, right? ;-)

After the snot fest I turned into just reading that book I decided to file that one under movies I will never see.

Have a good weekend!

Great post.
You're bored in a quiet house. That makes you awesome.

Sadly sometimes, the juice is not worth the squeeze. Enjoy the quiet. Take a long bath.

I love the juice line from the coworker, friggin perfection.

Enjoy your peace and quiet, it's amazing how we miss the kiddos when they are not around.

Kim said...

I am definitely using that line...Is the juice worth the squeeze? That was funny.

I'm afraid to watch Marley and Me. I heard what happens and I'm too big of a wimp.

Love the randomness. :) There's something to be said for it, definitely. I know what you mean about missing the kids when they're away for the night...even though you're expecting to be "young" and enjoy yourself. Good luck with that. And the juice worth the squeeze? I'm totally stealing that line.

Quietness....hmmmm, sounds lovely and Yes, I'd miss my babes as well.

Crazy cow story.

Yay for you for visiting everyone that commented from SITS.

Have a GREAT weekend!!

There must be something wrong with me, because boy do I love an empty and quiet house. I guess I'll have to give back that Mom of the Year Award, hunh.

I have been sooooo bad when it comes to SITS lately. That and the email subscribe thing...well it doesn't. I haven't been getting my daily emails, and therefore, I forget.

I THINK I hit your blog on your SITS day, but even if I didn't, you know I luv ya! I read, but often don't have time to comment.

I bought Marley and Me, just can't get the nerve to watch it. Well, that and I'm all out of Kleenex!

I love the juice/squeeze quote -- I think I first heard it in the movie, The Girl Next Door and did a post on it too.

Ted got Marley and Me and I'm not sure I can watch it b/c I've heard about too many of the sad parts and I"m not sure I can handle it.

Stopping by from SITS as I catch up on my reading. Your blog is so cute and I am jealous that you get to live in Hawaii.

how do you keep up with all the visits you get on a normal day? Good heavens!

And I have not seen Marley and Me. Is it actually good?

Fiauna said...

I always miss my kids when they are away too. It's too bad I don't realize that until they are away.

Oh man, I cried during Marley and Me too. I went to see it in the theater and you could hear the entire room sniffling.

So is the juice worth the squeeze? If the juice has the arrogance to question it I reckon squeeze harder...

Gee, Rambler, guess you didn't get around to me. I suppose I'm too new here. Even so, I still enjoyed reading you.
