Think About It Thursday #27....Time's up

You movie stars had some great answers to last weeks..."If your life were made into a movie what would it be called and who would star as YOU". Read some of last week's comments.

Right off the bat... a straight version of Rosie o Donnell would play the part of me. And she'd have to dye her hair blonde. And the movie would be called "The Boring Life of a Neurotic Blogger"

Ao14...I laughed so hard for some reason. I heart Rosie...and would so watch your movie!!

Well, the most humorous times of my life are when I'm with my gays (no, I'm not Kathy Griffin), so I'd be played by Charlize Theron (cause who wouldn't want that?!) and her co-stars would be a gaggle of gorgeous gay men like Rupert Everett and TR Knight.
The title would be "Megan and her Gay Menagerie" or maybe "The Gay Collector"
It would be a Rom-Com where I'd be swept off my feet by Gerard Butler (a girl can dream) while her gay friends would make witty jokes about hot he is.
I'm off to write the screenplay now ;)

Who doesn't love a movie with a girl and her gays? mmmmm...Gerard....mmmm....share some alright.

I'd call it Sarcasm's Underrated. I think Rachel McAdams could play me.

I love the title. And Rachel McAdams is one of my favorites. She had me at Notebook.

I was going through some of my old posts and came upon this one when only myself was reading my blog. And I knew I wanted to use it for this week's Think About It Thursdays...

"If your time was up today, have you done what you've wanted to accomplish in life? Do you feel you made a difference in someones life?"

Think away blogfriends. I can't wait to read some of your thoughts!!

I feel like I've made the most of my 29 years. There is still a lot I want to do, but I'm satisified.

I think I've made a difference to my family.

Sure, I've made a difference in my son's life. Apparently I'm ruining his life at the moment because I wouldn't let him have a chocolate bar for lunch. He's still screeching, "You're so MEAN! You've ruined my life!"

No :(

I need some more time!!!

I want to make a huge difference in peoples lives (Medicine)

and I have barely begun to even breach the surface.

Please grant me another 10-20 years. :)

NO! I have four children to raise. My time can't be up until I've seen them all happy as adults. So I guess I need an indefinite amount of time.

Oooh, ouch, this one hits home. Had yet another horrendous night at work last night, leaving me with the familiar feeling of, "what in the &#%@ am I doing with my life?!" I've had all the struggle and heartache that I need to be a well-rounded, compassionate person--I just need to open myself up to receiving more abundance and joy. Thank you for the reminder! I need it every 30 minutes or so. ;)

Yes. Yes. And then, YES!
I was diagnosed with cancer when I was 32. My 3 children were 11, 8, and 4. I pleaded with God to allow me to raise them. He restored my health! They are all grown and now we are blessed to be raising our 4th child (adopted), Princess! I always say this time of my life is the "icing on the cake". . .I'm living in "Icing" and it doesn't get any better than that. Sorry this wasn't a funny answer, but instead one from the heart!!

No, re: not accomplishing everything. Big plans changed big in my lifetime.

Yes, re: making a difference. I'm a good mom. (Let THEM do something huge.)

More importantly: Rupert Everett's gay?
How stupid am I?
Don't answer, you'll hurt my feelings.
I'm already crushed that Rupert's not likely to fall for the prison chaplain's widow (re: the aforementioned "plans".)

When did everybody else find out?
Dang.
That's how stupid I am.

Oh yeah, I think I've made a difference in alot of people's lives just like we all have. I think I am learning what it means when the Dalai Lama says, "My Religion is Kindness".
I am satisfied with my journey, my path because like the Raymond Carver poem I have loved and beed loved.
What more is there?
Great post as usual, dear Rambler.

Well, I sure as shootin' hope so (I can't believe I just typed that)Apparently I live in the wild, wild west...

I sure hope that I've given my kids the foundation to go forth into the world and make a difference.

I have also tried so hard to fight against the things I don't like about myself so that they don't have those hangups. So far, it's looking pretty good.

I hope I have made a difference!! I have made a difference in my family's life and in my rescue cat's life... I would love in future to be able to give a home to more abused animals though - we just don't have room in this tiny house at the moment!

I give blood 3 times a year. My donations have all been successful... this is something I'm proud of and I think that I may have really helped someone by doing this.

Have a great weekend bloggymatey!

Stopping by from SITS...'

Oh gosh no, I have not accomplished everything I want to in life. I still have a son to raise, a novel to get published, become a millionaire, travel the world, and someday spoil some grandkids.

Do I feel I've made a difference? I like to think so. Now whether or not they are good differences, I'm not entirely sure!

Your blog is adorable, love it! :-)

With some of the experiences swirling about my life lately, this question has floated in and out of my consciousness.

No, I definitely have not accomplished what I want to in life. How could I have when I still don't know all of the great things I might want to do?

As for making a difference in someone's life? I will say that I have. All of my jobs have been people-centered. I taught sign language for 13 years (it's only been since the end of June and I think I'll be going back... I miss my peeps). I run a work experience program for high school students with developmental disabilities (did you know that freshmen boys are ALWAYS freshmen boys, regardless of IQ?... it's SO true!). Before that I did vocational testing to guide people into hopefully satisfying career training.

Outside of my work life, I think I'm a pretty good friend, too. How do I know? Because I hang with some truly amazing people and I doubt they'd keep me around if it was just my shenanigans.

All that being said, I figure there's always more good to be done. Hopefully I won't counteract it too much with my darker side when life seems overwhelming.

Great question. So, far I have accomplished some of my goals....teaching career, started a family. But, I ain't done yet, Baby. The world still remains unconquered.

Truth to be told; No and Yes. I think there are so many things that I haven't done in my life, but I know I've made difference in my husband's life.

Seriously, sweetie, thank you for this post - I really need to re-think about my life and where it's going.

Love you!

I think I've made a difference, but I don't feel like my life will be complete until I'm a Mommy.
